Random Thought 884

So I finally got my ass off to actually decide to rewatch Toradora but this time in its English dub. I'm not actually expecting to finish it all through out this Christmas break but I guess I feel nostalgic just seeing the first two episodes. I'll probably be able to watch half of it or more if I have the urge of watching more (well obviously).

The English dub I must say is pretty good. Though we never get to hear Kugimiya Rie's tsundere voice, the English voice actress sounded pretty good and still fitting. My only concern is that even though I really like Johnny Yong Bosch as a voice actor, I don't think his voice fits Kitamura's for some reason. I can forgive the mispronounced Japanese names. It wasn't overly Americanized, so it was bearable. Overall, the English dub does justice to the anime.

Anyways, just a quick announcement that I might have a week break next week since I'll be on a holiday break. I'll probably be back after new years. So I guess, expect lesser posts during that time. I might still post some Random Thoughts when I feel like it but that's really unlikely considering I won't have that enough time during my vacation.

Random Thought 883

Just watched the 42nd episode of Full Moon wo Sagashite. The one thing that I was really afraid of happening really did happen. I wonder how the last 10 episode will wrap this show up. I haven't finished this anime yet but so far this is the best shoujo anime I've watched. I hope I could finish the last 10 episodes before Christmas.

Less than 24 hours before Christmas. Let's have a challenge and see if I could finish the last 19 episodes of Full Moon wo Sagashite before Christmas. But I kinda doubt that I would make it since I might be busy preparing for Christmas.

Anyways, let's just remember that what's important about Christmas isn't only about all the gifts but how you view and celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Happy Christmas everyone! 🙂

Let's talk about Clash of Clans again shall we? So I just upgraded my Dragon to level 2 which is just in time for our upcoming clan war. Right now I'm upgrading my Lightning Spell to level 4. My problem now is that despite having 4 builders, I still 20 hours away until one of my builders finishes an upgrade of one of my buildings, the real problem now is I'm just a little hundred thousand gold away until the maximum capacity. I'm also afraid that my base gets raided by some evil looter and I can't afford to loose more gold most especially that I work hard on getting them. Dark Elixir is another story, I think at least a thousand was stolen from me from the last 24 hours. It was really frustrating. Anyways, hopefully by new years I'll be in Town Hall 8. I hope.

Tonight I watched the supposed to be final movie of the Doraemon franchise, "Stand By Me Doraemon". I watched it earlier than its expected Feb 2015 Blu-ray release. Someone from Indonesia leaked the theatrical digital copy and uploaded it in the torrents. The quality of rip is more than watchable and I don't mind the subs as long as I can still understand the movie.

This movie far differs from any Doraemon movies made as of date since this movie was done in full 3D CGI. I'm quite impressed to see the consistency of the character designs and how they were converted so well in 3D. The animation was very solid and pleasant and not awkward to look at.

Having watched Doraemon for as long as I have lived, this movie surely brought my childhood back and I felt really nostalgic just watching this movie. I remember why I didn't want to miss a single episode of Doraemon back when I was still in kindergarten or elementary.

I can safely say that you don't need to have watched any Doraemon for you to enjoy this movie. This movie is a standalone one and retells the Doraemon story in a different way that is just perfect for an hour and a half theatrical release. Unlike the TV anime which is basically just comedy, this movie was quite emotional and heartwarming at the same time. Never did I see that in the TV anime before. It's a perfect movie to watch with the whole family!

I give Stand By Me Doraemon an 8/10.

-Okay grades were released today. Not what I had expected but I'm still thankful that I didn't fail any.

-I finally caught up on all the shows I'm following, completed a few actually.

-I didn't meet my quota in reading "Four" today but I managed to read more than 20 pages so I'm still fine with that. I'm actually planning on finishing it before Christmas anyway. I still got 5 more days left.

I finally got the time to update my page since it's only less than a week before Christmas. I chose Nagato and Kyon as the cover photo for some reason probably because I find it kind of different and unique from the others I found especially that it's one of the few that doesn't feature the Santa hat which is pretty overused plus it kinda fits the quotation I found somewhere in the interwebs. And about the profile picture, I just thought Kirino looks better from the variety of anime Christmas pictures I chose it from. So yeah.

Random Thought 876

Today marks the first day of my Christmas break. Finally I can have some well deserved break from the not so stressful (unlike the other) term that has just ended. I just need to wait for my grades on Friday and I hope that I pass all of my subjects.

I started reading Four: A Divergent Collection and finished its first out of 4 parts, "The Transfer". It's quite interesting to finally see Tobias's story and how he ended up in the Dauntless faction. I'm not expecting a lot from this book since it's just a spin-off side story but I'm surprised that I'm finding it quite enjoyable. I could probably be able to finish it in less than a week considering that I'll only probably reading it around 1-2 hours a day. It's quite good.
